Model history: The Stream Sapphire tops Victrola's Stream Carbon, keeping its carbon-fibre tonearm but adding a quieter brushless motor, a heavier walnut-veneer plinth, an Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge, and support for lossless 24-bit/48kHz FLAC streaming plus Roon and UPnP, features the earlier Stream models lack.
Who it suits
Best suited to: a first serious turntable for an existing or planned amp-and-speakers setup. Less ideal for: plugging straight into passive speakers with no amp — check the built-in phono stage row above, and note most hi-fi decks still need external amplification.
