The world's first direct-drive turntable, launched by Matsushita's Technics brand in 1970 as a professional motor unit for broadcast use. Its brushless DC motor eliminated belts and idlers at a stroke.
Historically pivotal — the machine that started direct drive and everything that followed from it.
