The Planar 2 established Rega's enduring formula: a rigid plinth, glass platter, felt mat and quality arm with no suspension to go wrong. From 1984 it carried the RB250 arm, and it ran largely unchanged until renamed P2 in 2000.
One of the definitive budget audiophile decks — simple, reliable and still an excellent used buy.
