JVC QL-A7
Vintage & classic turntables · 1979–? Discontinued
$250–$450 typical US used price
A substantial quartz-locked direct-drive from JVC's late-70s QL range with a quality gimballed arm and auto arm return. Heavy, stable and underrated against the equivalent Technics models.
A big, honest Japanese quartz deck that still undercuts its Technics rivals on the used market.
Good to know
- No built-in phono stage — use an amplifier with a phono input or add a separate phono preamplifier.
- This is a used-market purchase. Ask about condition, originality and service history, especially the belt, bearing and stylus.
