Fluance's new flagship (launched June 2026) with a dual-plinth design that isolates platter and tonearm from motor and electronics. Carbon fiber tonearm with VTA adjustment, high-mass acrylic platter, servo motor with 33/45/78 RPM and auto-stop; no preamp, Bluetooth or USB by design.
Fluance's first true audiophile flagship — a $799.99 dual-plinth deck aimed squarely at Pro-Ject and Rega.
Model history: The RT87 is Fluance's new flagship, built off the prior top-tier RT85/RT85N: it introduces a dual-plinth design that isolates the motor from the tonearm/cartridge, a heavier 4.1lb acrylic platter (up from 3lb), and a redesigned carbon-fiber tonearm extended from 8.6in to 9in with VTA adjustment.
Who it suits
Best suited to: a first serious turntable for an existing or planned amp-and-speakers setup. Less ideal for: plugging straight into passive speakers with no amp — check the built-in phono stage row above, and note most hi-fi decks still need external amplification.
Good to know
- No built-in phono stage — use an amplifier with a phono input or add a separate phono preamplifier.
