EAT's mid-ranger: low-slung high-gloss plinth, damped alloy platter and a carbon arm, voiced for warmth.
Model history: Positioned as a more affordable sibling to EAT's acclaimed C-Sharp, carrying over much of the same plinth, platter and tonearm design but with a shorter 9-inch tonearm (versus the C-Sharp's longer arm) and simpler built-in speed control instead of the C-Sharp's precision external unit, at roughly a third less money.

Who it suits
Best suited to: a first serious turntable for an existing or planned amp-and-speakers setup. Less ideal for: plugging straight into passive speakers with no amp — check the built-in phono stage row above, and note most hi-fi decks still need external amplification.
