A fully-automatic entry-level deck: a fully-automatic belt-drive deck with a built-in switchable phono stage, so it works with any amp or powered speaker out of the box. The cartridge is integrated but the stylus is replaceable.
Audio-Technica's long-running fully-automatic entry model — one of the brand's lowest-priced current decks.
Model history: Replaces the original AT-LP60 (2013 onward): the X generation carries an improved tonearm base/headshell (reduced ~25Hz resonance, easier finger-lift) and moved the AC/DC power conversion to an external adapter for a quieter signal, while keeping the same automatic operation and cartridge/stylus.

Who it suits
Best suited to: a first turntable for casual, low-effort listening. Less ideal for: buyers needing a particular cartridge mount or upgrade path without checking the model-specific specifications.
Compatibility and setup
- The cartridge is fixed to the headshell rather than user-swappable — the stylus itself is usually still a separate, replaceable part, but you can’t fit a different cartridge model later.
Good to know
- Has a built-in phono stage, so it can feed a normal line input on an amplifier or powered speakers without a separate phono box.
- Fully automatic: the arm cues itself and returns at the end of the side.

How it sits in the catalogue
Its belt-drive mechanism is the majority choice in the database (151 of 183). A built-in phono stage puts it with the 47% of current decks that plug straight into any amp or powered speaker. Fully-automatic operation is rarer than you might expect — only 13 of 183 current models cue and return the arm themselves. It is the cheapest priced budget deck in the database.
Cartridge and replacement stylus
Factory cartridge: Audio-Technica AT3600L · replacement stylus: ATN3600LC · around $29.
