Record players under $100

What $100 actually buys: honest starter decks and suitcase players — and which to avoid if you care about your records.

This page covers the cheap record-player price band using documented models and prices; it does not label an untested deck the best choice.

5 models currently match the filter, shown from the highest reference price to the lowest. This is a database shortlist, not a ranked review.

Buying context

At this price the cartridge is almost always ceramic rather than magnetic, which is harder on vinyl and rolls off detail — fine for the occasional play, less fine as a daily driver. If you can stretch another $50–100, the jump to a magnetic cartridge (see our under-$200 list) is the single biggest step up in sound and record wear at the entry end.
